Chrysler Building cat tower

We wanted to make an iconic architectural cat tower that would honor the great engineering minds of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and we chose to focus on the art-deco style Chrysler Building in New York City, one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers at the time of its construction.

Spire forms can be very challenging to translate into cat towers since cats will always seek out how to get to the very tippy top of a cat tree.  With that in mind, we designed several upper levels for cats to occupy, giving them a perfect bird’s-eye perspective of their domain while minding the dimensions for an average cat to curl up and nap.

Great care was taken in balancing the technology-centric CNC-carved window openings with artful hand-painted exterior and hand-upholstered cat-platforms.  And, of course, it wouldn’t be the iconic Chrysler Building without the carefully installed LED tape light to light up the night sky.  The one-of-a-kind creation serves as an art piece when not used by cats…the ultimate interior decor item!

This piece measures 37″ wide by 24″ deep by 100″ tall to its highest point.  Assembly required for the base with upper portions shipped fully assembled; ships anywhere in the continental US (shipping included in price shown).
